Job Title: Senior Manager HR - FMCG Manufacturing Plant +Corporate.
Company Overview:
One of our clients, a leading fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company, is seeking a seasoned HR professional to lead Plant HR operations and integrate corporate strategic policies at their manufacturing unit in the Pune industrial area.
Job Overview:
The Senior Manager HR will hold complete ownership of plant-level Human Resources, Industrial Relations, statutory compliance, and corporate policy alignment. This leadership role acts as the vital bridge between corporate executive leadership and plant operations, ensuring factory harmony, high operational productivity, robust talent governance, and flawless legal compliance.
Key Role Details:
- Position Title: Senior Manager HR
- Location: Industrial Area, Pune (Plant-based role)
- Experience Range: 10 to 15+ years (Must have extensive core Plant/Factory HR experience)
- Education Qualification: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources / MSW / Master's in Personnel Management (MPM) / Labor Laws
- Industry Background: FMCG, Food Processing, Consumer Goods, or High-Volume Process Manufacturing (FMCG experience preferred)
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant HR Operations and Corporate Policy Deployment:
- Lead the implementation and enforcement of corporate HR policies, standing orders, and operational standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the plant.
- Drive organizational development, workforce planning, and productivity initiatives tailored for continuous FMCG manufacturing shifts.
- Partner with executive corporate leadership to align plant HR objectives with broader corporate strategic goals
- Statutory Compliance, Labor Laws, and Industrial Relations:
- Ensure 100% statutory compliance across all labor laws, including the Factories Act, PF, ESIC, Minimum Wages, Contract Labor (Regulation & Abolition) Act, and Industrial Disputes Act.
- Lead factory inspections, labor compliance audits, and maintain full audit readiness.
- Manage contract labor management, vendor audits, contractor agreements, and wage administration.
- Oversee industrial relations, grievance redressal mechanisms, and disciplinary proceedings to ensure floor harmony and zero operational downtime.
- Talent Acquisition, Development, and Retention:
- Direct end-to-end recruitment for plant leadership, production engineers, quality assurance, supply chain, and shop-floor technical staff.
- Conduct Training Need Analysis (TNA), execute safety and technical capability-building programs, and implement structured onboarding.
- Build employee engagement and retention strategies to minimize attrition across core technical and managerial teams.
- Performance Management System (PMS) and HR Analytics:
- Execute KRA and KPI frameworks across all plant departments and strategic business units.
- Track and report key plant HR metrics to executive management, including man-hours, productivity ratios, attrition rates, overtime costs, training ROI, and cost-per-hire.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong leadership background with proven experience managing HR for large-scale manufacturing or FMCG plants.
- Deep expertise in Indian Labor Laws, Factories Act regulations, and Industrial Relations handling.
- Excellent capability to seamlessly bridge high-level corporate governance with ground-level plant execution.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Marathi and English is highly preferred for local administration and worker communication.
Selection Process:
- Round 1: Screening and Fitment Round (Leadership and Operational HR Alignment)
- Round 2: Technical and Labor Law Deep-Dive (Plant Operations, Compliance, and IR Evaluation)
- Round 3: Final Executive Round (Strategic Discussion with Business Heads and Managing Director)
