Key Account Executive / Modern Trade Executive

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts (Modern Trade).
2. Act as the primary point of contact for key clients such as D-Mart, Reliance, and SMTO accounts, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
3. Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs.
4. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth.
5. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products across key accounts.
6. Conduct market analysis to understand competition, trends, and customer needs.
7. Provide insights and recommendations to improve product positioning and offerings.
8. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute tailored promotional strategies.
9. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with clients.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
11. Coordinate with logistics, finance, and product development teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
12. Monitor and manage inventory levels and product availability in coordination with the supply chain.
13. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and agreements.
14. Prepare and present reports on account performance and key sales metrics.
15. Conduct regular visits to key accounts to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
16. Address client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
17. Appoint, train, and manage promoters at key outlets.

Key Skills:

• Strong Key Account Management and relationship-building skills in Modern Trade.
• Experience handling major retail chains like D-Mart, Reliance etc
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
• Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen (pricing, contracts, terms).
• Good understanding of Modern Trade operations, merchandising, and promotions.
• Ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Strong analytical skills for market analysis, sales tracking, and reporting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in cross-functional coordination (logistics, finance, marketing, supply chain).
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes.
• Ability to handle customer issues, escalations, and complaint resolution.
• Experience in promoter management and in-store execution.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
