Fitter Technician

Key Responsibilities:-

• Operate and monitor mechanical filtration equipment such as Vacuum Filters, Tilting Pan Filters, Belt Filters, Rotary Table Filters, and related systems.
• Ensure continuous filtration of phosphoric acid slurry and proper gypsum separation as per process requirements.
• Monitor filter performance, vacuum pressure, filtrate flow, cake thickness, and washing efficiency.
• Carry out routine inspection, preventive maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs of mechanical equipment.
• Replace and maintain filter cloths, seals, bearings, rollers, and other filter components.
• Coordinate with DCS Operators, Production, and Maintenance teams for smooth plant operation.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment abnormalities to minimize downtime.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow safety procedures while handling corrosive chemicals.
• Record operational parameters, maintenance activities, and shift reports.

Requirements:-

• ITI in Fitter, Mechanical, Turner, Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Fertilizer, Phosphoric Acid, Chemical, or Filter Industry.
• Hands-on experience with Vacuum Filters, Tilting Pan Filters, Belt Filters, or Rotary Table Filters.
• Knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, vacuum systems, and filtration equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
• Familiarity with preventive and breakdown maintenance.
