About the Role

News4Bharat is looking for a hands-on content and communications professional who can research, write, and edit long-form business and BFSI journalism while also owning B2B public relations and event planning. This is not a role for someone who leans on AI tools to generate copy — we need original reporting, verified data, named sources, and a distinct editorial voice. If you can pick up the phone, get a quote, cross-check a number, and still write a clean 1,500-word feature on deadline, this role is built for you.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Journalism

• Research and write long-form articles, explainers, and analysis pieces on business, BFSI, and technology — grounded in original reporting, data, and named industry sources, not AI-generated or lightly rewritten content
• Rewrite and edit wire copy, press releases, and contributed pieces into News4Bharat's house style: active voice, India-first framing, no filler, no AI-sounding phrasing
• Fact-check figures, quotes, and claims before publishing
• Write and manage newsletters and social media copy that reflect the same editorial standard
• Pitch and develop story ideas independently, not just execute assignments

Public Relations & B2B Communications

• Manage PR and communications for B2B clients and partners — press notes, briefing documents, media pitches, and spokesperson positioning
• Build and maintain relationships with BFSI, business, and tech industry contacts, spokespersons, and PR agencies
• Draft official statements, quotes, and media responses on behalf of News4Bharat and partner brands
• Coordinate media coverage and journalist outreach for client and in-house initiatives

B2B Event Planning

• Plan and execute B2B events — webinars, panel discussions, roundtables, and industry dialogues
• Identify and confirm speakers, sponsors, and panelists; manage outreach and follow-ups
• Handle event logistics end-to-end: run-of-show, promotion, registrations, and post-event reporting
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure events align with editorial and brand positioning

Must-Have Skills

• Strong written English — content creation, content development, story editing, news reading and broadcasting sensibility
• Business communication and oral communication skills for client-facing and spokesperson interactions
• Mass communication / communication management fundamentals
• Social media newsgathering and content creation for digital platforms
• Demonstrated ability to write research-backed, human-reported long-form content (writing samples will be evaluated for originality — AI-generated submissions will be rejected)

Preferred Background

• Prior experience in Media, Film & Entertainment, or Media, Advertising, PR & Marketing industries
• Degree/specialization in Mass Communication and Journalism, TV Journalism & Communication, Journalism and Mass Communication, or related B.A./PG Diploma/Master's programs in Journalism, Mass Communication, or Political Science
