Retained — Critical Function · Studio & Stage Lighting Specialist
Role: Lighting Panel Operator
Experience
- 4–6 years in stage or event lighting
- Corporate event or broadcast environment preferred
- LED Wall experience is an advantage
Purpose
Owns all stage and auditorium lighting operations. Delivers broadcast-quality lighting that enhances audience experience and supports camera recording quality for 170+ events per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement lighting setups for various event formats such as:
- Town halls
- Award functions
- Product launches
- Program lighting scenes and cue stacks; execute them during live events
- Coordinate with Camera Engineers to ensure optimal video quality and exposure
- Synchronize lighting cues with LED wall content through the Media Server Engineer
- Maintain all lighting hardware including:
- Fixtures
- Rigging
- Consoles
- Consumables
- Design and execute lighting shows for:
- Talent events
- Rewards & Recognition (R&R) programs
- Product launches
Technical Skills & Competencies
Lighting Console Expertise
Proficiency in:
- ETC
- Avolites
- GrandMA
- Equivalent lighting control consoles
Lighting Technology Knowledge
- Stage and studio lighting principles
- Colour theory
- DMX
- ArtNet
- sACN
Show Design & Programming
- Lighting show design
- Programming for:
- Awards shows
- Talent shows
- Product launches
Broadcast Lighting Knowledge
- Understanding of how lighting affects camera exposure and video quality in broadcast environments
Networking Fundamentals
- DMX-over-IP
- ArtNet network awareness
- Basic lighting network concepts
