Job SummaryThe Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operations of the café. The ARM ensures excellent guest service, efficient team management, adherence to company standards, achievement of sales targets, and smooth operational execution.

• Key Responsibilities1. Operations ManagementAssist in the daily operation of the restaurant.
• Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Ensure SOPs are followed by all team members.
• Monitor service quality and operational efficiency.
• 2. Team ManagementSupervise Team Members and Shift Managers during shifts.
• Conduct daily briefings before each shift.
• Train, coach, and motivate employees.
• Prepare duty rosters and manage shift scheduling.
• Monitor employee discipline, grooming, and attendance.
• 3. Guest ExperienceWelcome and assist guests professionally.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively.
• Ensure every guest receives excellent service.
• Build guest relationships to encourage repeat visits.
• 4. Sales & Business GrowthAchieve daily and monthly sales targets.
• Promote add-on selling and suggestive selling.
• Increase dine-in, takeaway, and online sales.
• Support local marketing activities and promotions.
• 5. Online OperationsManage Zomato, Swiggy, and other delivery platforms.
• Monitor order preparation and dispatch times.
• Ensure accurate packaging and order quality.
• Maintain high online ratings and respond to customer feedback.
• 6. Cash & Inventory ManagementVerify daily cash collection and billing accuracy.
• Ensure proper POS operations.
• Monitor stock levels and place requisitions.
• Minimize food wastage and control inventory variance.
• 7. Food Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with FSSAI guidelines.
• Monitor food quality and storage standards.
• Conduct hygiene inspections of kitchen and dining areas.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
• 8. ReportingSubmit Daily Sales Report (DSR).
• Maintain attendance and manpower records.
• Report maintenance issues and operational concerns.
• Share daily operational updates with the Restaurant Manager.
• Required QualificationsGraduate preferred (Hotel Management is an advantage).
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in restaurant or café operations.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
