Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled WRO & WWRO Water Plant Operator to oversee the day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of our Fully Automatic PLC / SCADA 1.5MLD - Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment system. In this role, you will ensure the plant consistently produces high-quality treated water while adhering to safety standards, environmental regulations, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Monitoring

• Monitor and control the continuous operation of RO units, pre-treatment filtration (e.g., sand/media filters, softeners, cartridge filters), and post-treatment systems.
• Track key operational parameters—including flow rates, system pressures, pH levels, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), conductivity, and Temperature—to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Conduct routine chemical dosing (antiscalants, chlorine, sodium metabisulfite) and adjust feed rates as required.

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform regular preventative maintenance on pumps, valves, piping, meters, and dosing instruments.
• Monitor membrane health, differential pressures, and fouling indicators; assist with or perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures on RO membranes.
• Diagnose mechanical or operational faults and perform minor repairs or escalate complex issues to the maintenance team promptly.

3. Quality Control & Safety

• Collect water samples at various treatment stages and perform routine lab testing (TDS, hardness, free chlorine, pH).
• Maintain strict compliance with safety guidelines, including the safe handling and storage of hazardous chemicals (PPE compliance).
• Keep logbooks, digital logs, and operational reports up to date for regulatory and internal auditing.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High School Diploma or ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience operating Effluent RO plants.
• Technical Skills:
• Basic understanding of water chemistry, filtration processes, and membrane technology.
• Familiarity with CIP (Clean-in-Place) membrane cleaning processes.
• Proficiency reading gauges, flowmeters, pressure sensors, and control panels (PLC/SCADA experience is a plus).
• Soft Skills: Good troubleshooting abilities, strong attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
