Job Description

  • Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Python-based automation applications for electronic test systems.
  • Develop automation scripts for RF, EMC/EMI, and laboratory test equipment.
  • Integrate and control instruments using communication interfaces such as USB, RS-232, Ethernet, GPIB, CAN, UART, SPI, and I2C.
  • Develop software drivers for laboratory instruments and embedded hardware.
  • Automate repetitive testing, data acquisition, logging, and report generation.
  • Interface with electronic devices using SCPI commands and communication protocols.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and RF engineers to develop integrated automation solutions.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize automation software and hardware interfaces.
  • Develop GUI-based desktop applications using Python (Tkinter, PyQt, or similar frameworks).
  • Create technical documentation, user manuals, and code documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
  • Stay updated with emerging automation technologies and best practices.
  • Required SkillsTechnical SkillsStrong proficiency in Python programming.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Python development and automation.
  • Experience with automation libraries such as:
  • PyVISA
  • PySerial
  • NumPy
  • Pandas
  • OpenCV (preferred)
  • Knowledge of instrument communication protocols:
  • SCPI
  • VISA
  • Serial Communication
  • TCP/IP Socket Programming
  • Experience with embedded communication interfaces:
  • UART
  • SPI
  • I2C
  • CAN
  • Modbus (preferred)
  • Experience in developing GUI applications using PyQt or Tkinter.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases (SQLite, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with Git version control.
  • Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Domain KnowledgeStrong understanding of Electronics & Communication Engineering fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment such as:
  • Spectrum Analyzer
  • Vector Network Analyzer (VNA)
  • Signal Generator
  • Oscilloscope
  • Power Meter
  • Digital Multimeter
  • Knowledge of RF measurements and EMC/EMI testing will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in industrial automation or electronic product testing is preferred.
  • Educational QualificationB.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
  • Candidates with Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (E&I) may also apply.
  • Preferred Candidate ProfilePassionate about automation and electronics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand hardware schematics and interface with electronic devices.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
