Job Description
- Key Responsibilities
- Training & DevelopmentIdentify training needs across all restaurants and departments.
- Prepare annual and monthly training calendars.
- Conduct induction and orientation programs for new employees.
- Develop training programs for service, kitchen, housekeeping, stewarding, stores and management teams.
- Conduct refresher and skill-development training at regular intervals.
- Ensure training is aligned with company SOPs and operational requirements.
- 2. Restaurant Operations TrainingDevelop training modules covering:
- Guest service and hospitality standards
- Grooming and personal hygiene
- Food safety and sanitation
- Product knowledge
- Customer handling and complaint management
- POS and operational procedures
- Kitchen hygiene and safety
- Store and inventory procedures
- Restaurant SOPs
- Conduct regular assessments to measure employee understanding and competency.
- 3. Leadership DevelopmentDesign development programs for Branch Heads, Assistant Branch Heads, Restaurant Managers, Assistant Managers, Captains and Supervisors.
- Conduct programs on leadership, team management, communication, conflict management and performance management.
- Identify high-potential employees and create development plans for career progression.
- 4. Training Needs AnalysisWork closely with Operations and HR teams to identify skill gaps.
- Analyse performance appraisal and PMS results to identify development requirements.
- Obtain feedback from Branch Heads and managers regarding training requirements.
- Prepare action plans to address identified competency gaps.
- 5. Induction & OnboardingManage structured induction programs for all new joiners.
- Ensure employees understand company vision, mission, values, policies, code of conduct and HR handbook.
- Coordinate department-specific technical and operational training.
- Track completion of induction and mandatory training programs.
- 6. Training EvaluationMeasure training effectiveness through tests, assessments, observations and operational feedback.
- Maintain training records for all employees.
- Track employee performance before and after training.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly training effectiveness reports.
- 7. Training Content & MaterialsDevelop training manuals, presentations, SOP-based modules, assessments and training videos.
- Continuously update training content based on operational changes and business requirements.
- Develop multilingual training materials where required.
- 8. Trainer DevelopmentIdentify and develop internal trainers from different departments.
- Conduct Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs.
- Establish standard training methodology across all restaurant locations.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of training delivered by internal trainers.
- 9. Coordination & ComplianceCoordinate with Operations, Quality, Food Safety, Finance and People & Culture departments.
- Ensure mandatory training programs are completed within defined timelines.
- Maintain proper documentation and training records for audit purposes.
- Support compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

- QualificationBachelor's degree in HR, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Education, Business Administration or a related field.
- Certification in Learning & Development / Training / HR will be an advantage.
- Experience5–8 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, preferably within the restaurant, hotel, hospitality or retail industry.
- Experience managing training across multiple locations is preferred.
- Strong experience in frontline and management-level training.
