Job Description
- Role: Production Officer / Shift In-Charge
- Location: Plant Sites (e.g., Boisar / Tarapur, Maharashtra)
- Department: Production / Operations (API / Bulk Drugs)
- Education: B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry) or B.E. / B.Tech (Chemical Engineering)
- Experience Required: Typically 2–6 years in API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) or Specialty Chemicals manufacturing
- 📋 Key Responsibilities & Job Profile1. Shift & Plant OperationsManaging and monitoring batch production processes in compliance with cGMP and SOPs.
- Handling standard plant equipment such as Reactors (SSR, GLR), Centrifuges, Dryers (FBD, RCVD, VTD), Pumps, and Distillation Units.
- Supervison of unit operations like crystallization, filtration, drying, solvent recovery, and hydrogenation.
- 2. Documentation & ComplianceFilling and reviewing Batch Production Records (BPR), Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), and Logbooks.
- Ensuring zero-deviation compliance with QA/QC and regulatory audit requirements (WHO-GMP / ISO).
- Handling Deviation, Change Control, and CAPA reporting when process abnormalities occur.
- 3. Safety, Health & Environment (EHS)Enforcing strict shop-floor safety rules, including proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintaining plant cleanliness, line clearance, and strict housekeeping protocols.
- Coordinating with Safety and Utility teams during emergency procedures or shutdown maintenance.
- 4. Yield & Resource OptimizationEnsuring targeted batch yields and product purity while minimizing solvent losses.
- Manpower allocation (operators and contract staff) for efficient shift execution.
