Engineer – Purchase & Procurement

Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Engineer – Purchase & Procurement to manage production activities, material planning, vendor coordination, and procurement processes. The candidate will ensure timely availability of materials, smooth production operations, and cost-effective purchasing.

Key Responsibilities

Production

Plan and monitor daily production activities.

Coordinate with production teams to achieve production targets.

Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.

Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions when required.

Maintain production records and reports.

Purchase & Procurement

Source materials, components, and services from approved vendors.

Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate with suppliers.

Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs).

Track deliveries and ensure timely material availability.

Develop and maintain vendor relationships.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores.

Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience in production planning, procurement, and vendor management.

Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.

Preferred Skills

Experience in HVAC, cooling units, fabrication, sheet metal, or engineering industries.

Knowledge of inventory management and BOM handling.

Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Experience Required

1–5 years of relevant experience in Production, Purchase, and Procurement.
