About the Role: We are looking for skilled and detail-oriented chip-level technicians to join our growing technical team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing laptop and desktop motherboards at the chip level. This role requires strong technical knowledge of electronic components, PCB repair, and motherboard diagnostics, along with the ability to identify and resolve complex hardware issues efficiently.

• Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair faulty laptop and desktop motherboards at the chip/component level.
• Troubleshoot issues such as no power, no display, charging problems, dead boards, short circuits, overheating, boot failures, USB/LAN/audio faults, and BIOS-related issues.
• Identify defective components such as ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors, resistors, diodes, coils, transistors, fuses, and connectors and replace them accurately.
• Perform SMD and BGA soldering/desoldering, micro-soldering, jumper work, and PCB track repair when required.
• Read and interpret circuit diagrams, schematics, board views, and motherboard layouts to diagnose faults effectively.
• Use diagnostic tools such as hot air rework stations, soldering stations, multimeters, DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, thermal cameras, and BIOS programmers.
• Flash, update, and recover BIOS firmware whenever required.
• Conduct detailed testing after repairs to ensure all motherboard functions are working properly before delivery.
• Maintain proper documentation of repairs, spare parts used, testing results, and service reports.
• Ensure compliance with ESD (electrostatic discharge) safety standards while handling sensitive electronic components.
• Coordinate with the quality team to ensure repaired products meet company quality standards.
• Achieve daily repair targets while maintaining high-quality workmanship and minimizing repeat failures.
• Required Skills: Strong knowledge of laptop and desktop motherboard architecture.
• Hands-on experience in chip-level motherboard troubleshooting and repair.
• Expertise in SMD/BGA soldering, desoldering, and component replacement.
• Ability to read and understand electronic circuit diagrams and schematics.
• Good understanding of electronic components, PCB layouts, voltage rails, and signal tracing.
• Experience using hot air rework stations, soldering stations, multimeters, DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with BIOS programming and firmware flashing is an added advantage.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure while meeting productivity targets.
• Preferred Candidate Profile: ITI, Diploma, or B.E. in Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in chip-level motherboard repair.
• Experience in repairing laptop motherboards from brands such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, and other leading OEMs is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
