Operation Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Fleet & Driver Management: Supervise everyday dispatch, route planning, driver assignments, and vehicle safety protocols for our heavy asset fleet. [1]
• Project & ODC Execution: Oversee specialized over-dimensional cargo (ODC) movements, including managing route surveys, height clearance audits, and specialized field crews.
• Cost & Performance Tracking: Monitor operational budgets, maintain strict control over fuel consumption, minimize empty running, and present Daily Performance Reports (DPR).
• Compliance & Legal Support: Ensure absolute compliance regarding heavy vehicle documentation, including E-Way bills, multi-state transit permits, insurance renewals, and accident/breakdown handlings.
• Vendor & Financial Coordination: Manage operational transactions, vendor payment allocations (Advance/Balance payments), and streamline fuel card management.
• Bidding & RFQ Management: Collaborate with commercial teams to prepare daily bids and fulfill RFQ requests for major corporate partners like Reliance, Suzlon, and ONGC.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial Engineering preferred).
• Experience: 5 to 10 years of robust operations management experience specifically within a heavy asset-based logistics company, ODC transport, or project cargo sector.
• Core Competencies: Mastery over real-time GPS tracking systems, route simulation tools, and fleet optimization metrics.
• Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of RTO regulations, heavy-duty crane deployments, and Indian transport documentation (E-Way bills, challans).
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to act dynamically to resolve operational emergencies, breakdown logistics, or driver shortages on live projects.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent leadership presence to manage a diverse on-field crew (operators, mechanics, drivers) and communicate transparently with executive leadership.
