Job Description

Assistant Manager Quality - Cyber

Quality is responsible for managing operational quality governance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, strengthening preventive quality controls, and enabling operational excellence across cyber security functions. This role focuses on strategic quality oversight, governance management, and stakeholder engagement

Quality Governance & Oversight

•Manage quality governance for cyber security operations including:
•SOC operations
•Incident response
•Threat intelligence
•Vulnerability management
•IAM
•Governance and compliance functions
•Ensure adherence to defined quality frameworks, policies, and evaluation standards.
•Monitor quality performance across teams and identify operational trends

 

Strategic Quality Management

•Design and enhance quality frameworks aligned with:
•Business objectives
•Client expectations
•Regulatory requirements
•Operational maturity goals
•Establish preventive quality controls to reduce repeat incidents and process deviations.
•Drive standardization of evaluation methodologies and governance practices.
•Support quality transformation and operational excellence initiatives

 

Trend Analysis & Improvement Initiatives

•Analyze audit findings, defect trends, SLA breaches, and operational risks.
•Identify systemic process gaps and recommend improvement actions.
•Conduct root cause analysis and track closure of corrective actions.
•Identify automation and optimization opportunities within quality processes
 

Reporting & Compliance Management

•Develop governance dashboards, scorecards, and quality reports.
•Drive readiness for:
•Internal audits
•External audits
•Client reviews
•Compliance assessments
•Ensure quality documentation and evidence management standards are maintained

 

Stakeholder & Governance Management

•Partner with operations managers, cyber leads, and delivery stakeholders to improve operational quality.
•Conduct governance reviews, quality discussions, and calibration sessions.
•Present quality insights, trends, and recommendations to leadership.
•Ensure alignment between operational delivery and quality expectations
•

Team Development & Capability Building

•Mentor quality analysts and senior associates.
•Support training and onboarding initiatives for evaluators and operational teams.
•Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement culture across teams
 
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Computer Science / Information Technology / Cybersecurity
•Electronics & Communication or related engineering fields
•Information Systems / Information Security
•Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA in Systems/IT, MSc Cybersecurity, etc.)
•Relevant cybersecurity or quality certifications
 

Work experience

•5-7 years of experience in -
•Cyber security quality governance
•Operational excellence
•Audit and compliance
•IT service management
•Managed security operations .
•Experience managing quality programs across enterprise or managed cyber security services environments.
•Strong exposure to governance reporting, stakeholder management, quality reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Experience driving audit readiness, process compliance, and preventive quality frameworks within cyber operations.
•Exposure to multi-client delivery environments and global operational governance preferred
•Cyber domain specific in one or all of below –
•Identity & Access Management - Experience supporting governance and quality oversight for access provisioning, access certification, SSO, WAM, federation, and RBAC processes.
•Third-Party Security Risk Management (TPRM) - Experience managing quality governance for vendor security assessments, remediation tracking, and third-party risk monitoring activities
•Managed Detection & Response (MDR) / SOC Operations - Experience overseeing quality governance for SOC operations, security monitoring, incident response, and threat management activities
•Application Security (AppSec / TSA - Experience supporting quality governance for SAST, DAST, SCA, and penetration testing programs
•Workflow & Governance Management -Experience driving KPI/KRI governance, operational reporting, workflow optimization, and governance standardization initiatives
