Your Key Responsibilities

This position already exists in BU CS engineering organization. The goal of this position is  oriented towards development of competency and self sufficiency towards product design and project managment for Clutch Release System products and system at SIL with following responsibilities:

1. Own overall design resposibility for Clutch Release System products and systems
2. Provide swift support to Application Engineering, CFT, OEM and Tier 1 customers for their new requirements & currently supplied Schaeffler CRS product
3. Offer frequent product technology solutions to endeavor promote Schaeffler product portfolio and benefit all customers for technical edge
4. Support / guide KAM and Sales teams with relevant technical inputs
5. Conduct project management for PEP3 projects for Synchronization products and systems in BU CS
6. Collaborate with Product Group for required inputs and to furnish necessary deliverables

Support Application Engineering for necessary technical inputs.

1. To carry out the RFQ feasibility study, appropriate product selection, technical review & release to customer, SAP RFQ process, RLA, NPM, Gateway review with PG CS status reporting meeting etc.
2. To design, develop & manage local product development for Clutch Release System products.
3. Complete technical support, planning & co-ordination for development of projects in direct contact with all OEM & Tier 1 customers.
4. Interaction with customers for design & DVP finalization.
5. To lead & manage PEP3 customer projects & compliance with project objectives in terms of QCD target as per Project goal.
6. Close co-ordination with project team members from other function as mentioned in “Interfaces”.
7. Close co-ordination for Testing (In-house & Customer), RPA, Benchmarking
8. Active participation in product localization activity as a team member, co-ordination for customer approval & related activities.
9. Keep close watch on competition, generate market intelligence for future customer product lineups.
10. Ensure customer centricity, develop strong relationship with customers by providing excellent & timely technical support & process excellence for PG Clutch Release System products
11. Promoting & introducing new products to Indian automotive / tractor market
12. Work as a team leader for failures / complaints during development stage and team member for mass production complaints
13. Support / lead VA/VE initiatives to meet customer requirements & to increase product profitability
14. Comply IATF & Management Handbook requirement and meet IATF / ISA audit requirements.
15. Support & develop new team member by providing necessary support & trainings

Work on special projects assigned by BU CS as & when required.

Your Qualifications

1. Bachelor of Mechanical / Production / Automotive Engineering
2. Should have min. 7 years of experience in Clutch Release System products & system
3. Thorough knowledge of various automotive transmissions, especially of Clutch Release System products
4. Good knowedge and experience of typcial manufacturing processes required for BU CS products
5. Should be trained on design / engineering software (CAD, SAP, PLM Windchill) relevant for Clutch Release System products & system
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with external and internal customers
7. Should be skilled in MicroSoft Office software, preparing and delivering presentations
8. Should have good abilities of technology marketing to external customers
