Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to prepare accurate 2D drawings and layouts for Fire Fighting and Plumbing systems. The candidate will work closely with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to develop technically accurate drawings that comply with project requirements and relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for Fire Fighting and Plumbing systems.
- Draft layouts for hydrant, sprinkler, hose reel, pump room, water supply, drainage, and sewerage systems.
- Develop schematic diagrams, riser diagrams, sectional details, and isometric drawings.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, and HVAC teams to avoid clashes.
- Revise and update drawings based on consultant, client, and site feedback.
- Prepare shop drawings, GA drawings, as-built drawings, and BOQ support drawings.
- Maintain drawing revisions, documentation, and project records.
- Assist in technical submissions, tender documentation, and design coordination meetings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with NBC, IS Codes, NFPA guidelines, and project specifications where applicable. (Expertia)
- Required SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD 2D (3D knowledge is an advantage).
- Knowledge of Fire Fighting and Plumbing system layouts.
- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
- Understanding of MEP coordination and construction drawings.
- Familiarity with MS Office.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM will be an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Qualification
- Diploma/ITI in Civil, Mechanical, or Draftsman Trade, or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Civil Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in Fire Fighting & Plumbing drafting/design (Freshers with excellent AutoCAD skills may also apply).
