Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Executive to manage daily transportation operations, coordinate with customers and transporters, ensure timely vehicle placement, monitor deliveries, and maintain operational records. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high service levels and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation Operations

• Plan and coordinate daily vehicle deployment as per customer requirements.
• Arrange vehicles through company-owned fleet and market transporters.
• Monitor vehicle placement, loading, dispatch, and delivery status.
• Track vehicles using GPS and maintain real-time shipment updates.
• Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of shipments.
• Resolve operational issues such as delays, breakdowns, route deviations, and detention.

Customer Coordination

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
• Receive transportation requirements and execute them within committed timelines.
• Share vehicle details, ETAs, POD status, and daily operational updates.
• Address customer concerns and ensure high service quality.

Vendor & Driver Management

• Coordinate with transport vendors and drivers for smooth trip execution.
• Ensure driver documentation and vehicle documents are valid.
• Negotiate vehicle availability whenever required.
• Monitor transporter performance and service quality.

Documentation & Billing Support

• Prepare and maintain trip sheets, loading sheets, and dispatch records.
• Verify LR, POD, e-Way Bills, invoices, and other transport documents.
• Submit complete documentation to the Accounts/Billing team on time.
• Maintain accurate operational records for audits and customer requirements.

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare Daily Vehicle Placement Reports.
• Maintain Trip Status Reports and Delivery Performance Reports.
• Generate operational MIS using Microsoft Excel.
• Update management on pending deliveries, vehicle shortages, and operational challenges.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and customer guidelines.
• Follow all transportation, safety, and statutory requirements.
• Ensure vehicles are operated in accordance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline (B.Com, BBA, BMS, or equivalent preferred).
• Diploma or certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.

Experience

• 1–4 years of experience in logistics, transportation, fleet operations, or supply chain.
• Experience in FMCG transportation or 3PL operations will be preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of GPS tracking systems.
• Familiarity with e-Way Bills, POD management, and freight documentation.
• Experience using TMS/ERP software.
• Understanding of fleet utilization and route planning.

Working Hours

• As per operational requirements (including rotational shifts, if applicable).

Salary

• As per company standards and candidate experience.
