Job Description: Accountant (Purchase & J/V Accounting)

Experience Required: Relevant experience in Purchase Accounting and Journal Vouchers (J/V)Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Accountant responsible for managing purchase accounting activities, processing journal vouchers, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities: Handle purchase accounting activities, including purchase invoice verification, booking, and reconciliation.

• Prepare and process Journal Vouchers (J/V) for various accounting transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, expenses, and general ledger entries.
• Verify invoices, supporting documents, approvals, and tax details before posting entries.
• Perform vendor account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
• Coordinate with purchase, stores, and other departments for accounting-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Support audit requirements by providing necessary documents and information.
• Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in purchase accounting and Journal Voucher entries.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting software (such as SAP, Tally, Oracle, or similar systems).
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
