Position: Site Engineer

Job Summary

The Site Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing construction activities at the project site while ensuring quality, safety, timely completion, and compliance with drawings, specifications, and CPWD/IS standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site execution as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Billing Engineer, Consultants, and Client representatives.
• Ensure quality of work in accordance with CPWD specifications and relevant IS codes.
• Monitor labour productivity and subcontractor performance.
• Plan and manage manpower, materials, machinery, and site resources.
• Verify reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, masonry, finishing, plumbing, and electrical works before execution.
• Maintain daily progress reports, labour attendance, and site records.
• Check material received at site and ensure proper documentation (Delivery Challan/Tax Invoice).
• Prepare material requisitions and coordinate timely procurement.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and housekeeping requirements.
• Conduct measurements and maintain measurement books (MB) as required.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with the client and consultants.
• Identify site issues proactively and report them to the Project Manager.
• Ensure work is completed within the project schedule and budget.

Qualification

• Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering.

Experience

• 2–6 years in building construction projects.
• Experience in CPWD/PWD/Government projects will be preferred.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of RCC, masonry, finishing, and waterproofing works.
• Understanding of CPWD specifications, DSR, and IS codes.
• Ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Office.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
