Hvac Estimation Engineer

We are looking for a technically strong and result-oriented HVAC Estimation & Sales Engineer to manage HVAC estimation, tendering, proposal preparation, client coordination, and business development activities. The candidate will be responsible for understanding project requirements, preparing competitive techno-commercial offers, and supporting the sales team in converting opportunities into orders.

Key Responsibilities

HVAC Estimation & Tendering

• Study HVAC tender documents, BOQs, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for Chilled Water Systems, VRV/VRF, AHUs, FCUs, Chillers, Pumps, Cooling Towers, Ducting, Piping, and Ventilation Systems.
• Prepare quantity take-offs from HVAC drawings and BOQs.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare techno-commercial offers and detailed cost sheets.
• Analyse project specifications and identify scope gaps, exclusions, and deviations.
• Prepare rate analysis and negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with design and project teams to ensure technical and commercial accuracy.
• Support tender submissions and clarification responses.

Sales & Business Development

• Identify new HVAC project opportunities in commercial, hospitality, healthcare, data centre, industrial, and institutional sectors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, architects, PMC teams, developers, contractors, and clients.
• Understand client requirements and provide suitable HVAC solutions.
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and negotiate with clients.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and regularly update opportunity status.
• Assist in converting enquiries and tenders into confirmed orders.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with the design, procurement, projects, and management teams.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, client meetings, and technical discussions when required.
• Maintain records of enquiries, quotations, revisions, negotiations, and order status.
• Prepare regular sales and estimation reports for management.
• Ensure timely submission of quotations and tenders.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC-related field.

min 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC estimation, tendering, and sales.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Good understanding of HVAC drawings, BOQs, specifications, and tender documents.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; knowledge of estimation software will be an advantage.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and client-handling abilities.
• Ability to independently prepare accurate and competitive HVAC offers.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and project requirements.
