CNC Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Turning and/or CNC Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines as per production schedule.
• Load and unload raw materials, fabricated parts, and finished components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and process sheets.
• Measure components using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and thread gauges.
• Perform tool offset corrections and basic machine parameter adjustments.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities to the supervisor.
• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet dimensional and quality specifications.
• Replace worn cutting tools and maintain proper tooling.
• Maintain production records, inspection reports, and daily output reports.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance of machines.
• Follow 5S, safety, and quality standards at all times.
• Minimize material wastage and ensure optimum machine utilization.
• Coordinate with quality and maintenance teams to resolve production issues.

Technical Skills

· Knowledge of CNC Turning and VMC machine operations.

· Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T basics.

· Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality inspection.

· Basic understanding of G-Code and M-Code.

· Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Haas CNC controls is preferred.

· Understanding of cutting tools, inserts, feeds, and speeds.

· Basic computer knowledge for production reporting
