Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

* Thorough knowledge of Direct Tax and Indirect Tax compliance.

* Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.

* Maintain Accounts Receivable (AR), generate invoices, and ensure timely collections.

* Manage Accounts Payable (AP), process vendor payments, and perform vendor reconciliations.

* Prepare and file TDS returns, GST returns, and ensure timely compliance with all statutory requirements.

* Assist in the preparation of Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and other financial statements in accordance with legal and company guidelines.

* Review expenses, payroll records, and other financial data for accuracy and compliance.

* Maintain accounting records and financial databases to ensure accurate and accessible information.

* Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and MIS reports to management.

* Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

* Handle debtor follow-ups and ensure timely payment realization.

* Coordinate effectively with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.

* Take strong and regular follow-ups with bankers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of financial transactions, documentation, reconciliations, and issue resolution.

* Assist in various accounting, taxation, audit, and financial projects as assigned.

* Ensure smooth workflow by keeping the reporting manager updated on all accounting activities and highlighting any critical issues promptly.

 Requirements

* Strong knowledge of Direct Taxation (TDS, Income Tax) and Indirect Taxation (GST).

* Sound understanding of accounting principles, taxation laws, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.

* Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel (Advanced Excel preferred), and accounting software.

* Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.

* High attention to detail with strong accuracy in financial reporting.

* Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.

* Strong communication, coordination, follow-up, and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with bankers, vendors, auditors, and internal teams.

* Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
