About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and creative "Social Media Intern" who understands how content performs across different social media platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys social media, stays updated with the latest trends, and wants to learn how content is planned, published, and optimised to reach millions of viewers.

At GetSetFly Media, we create engaging science, psychology, health, biology, and educational content that simplifies complex ideas for a wide audience. As a Social Media Intern, you will work closely with the content and marketing team to manage day-to-day publishing activities, improve audience engagement, and contribute ideas that help grow our digital presence across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

* Upload and publish content across platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media channels.

* Upload, schedule, and optimise YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and other short-form content.

* Write engaging captions, titles, and descriptions aligned with the brand's tone and content strategy.

* Research and use relevant hashtags, keywords, and SEO best practices to maximise content reach and discoverability.

* Ensure videos are uploaded with accurate thumbnails, metadata, playlists, tags, cards, and end screens wherever applicable.

* Monitor content performance and suggest ideas to improve reach, engagement, watch time, audience retention, and overall channel growth.

* Brainstorm and discuss content strategies with the team to help scale viewership across social media platforms.

* Stay updated with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and viral content formats.

* Coordinate with the creative team to ensure timely publishing and smooth execution of content.

* Maintain consistency in posting schedules and platform management.

Requirements:

* Passionate about science, educational, and knowledge-driven content, with a genuine interest in helping meaningful content reach and engage a wider audience.

* Good understanding of YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms.

* Basic knowledge of caption writing, hashtags, keywords, content optimisation, and social media best practices.

* Understanding of YouTube SEO, platform algorithms, and audience engagement is an added advantage.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.

* Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.

* Creative mindset with the ability to contribute fresh ideas.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with different teams.

* Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.

Preferred Skills:

* Familiarity with YouTube Studio, Meta Business Suite, or similar publishing tools.

* Basic knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, or other creative tools is a plus.

* Interest in digital marketing, content creation, social media growth strategies, and analytics.
