Key Responsibilities

  • Gathering News: Find and investigate news tips, attend public events, and monitor breaking news beats.
  • Interviewing: Talk to witnesses, experts, officials, and the public to collect quotes and details.
  • Fact-Checking: Verify all information through official records and multiple sources to ensure accuracy before publication.
  • Writing and Reporting: Write clear articles, scripts, or social media posts and deliver live or recorded reports for print, web, or broadcast.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in journalism, mass communication, or English.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent spoken and written language skills to present stories clearly.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with digital tools, video cameras, audio recorders, and social media platforms.
  • Experience: Prior work via internships, college newspapers, or entry-level newsroom roles
