Field Service Engineer

The main job responsibilities include the following-

1. Installation & Commissioning

a. System Setup: Install EPABX systems, IP-PBX, VoIP gateways, and intercom lines at client sites.

b. Cabling & Wiring: Lay out structured network cabling (Cat6, fiber, or traditional copper), punch down patch panels, and manage cable connections.

c. Configuration: Configure all telecom hardware.

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

a. Fault Resolution: Diagnose and resolve hardware, wiring, and network-related phone line issues promptly.

b. Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine health checks on telecom equipment, power backup units (UPS), and server/rack connections.

c. System Updates: Upgrade EPABX firmware and software to ensure stability and security.

3. Testing & Integration

a. Integration: Connect EPABX/IP-PBX systems with SIP trunks, PRI lines, GSM gateways.

b. Quality Verification: Test call clarity, signal strength, extensions, and network connectivity before handoff.

4. Client Support & Documentation

a. User Training: Instruct client IT teams or staff on basic phone operations and admin portal settings.

b. Service Reports: Document work completed, track replacement parts, and obtain client sign-offs after service visits.

c. Client Management
