About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and improving mechanical components, assemblies, and machinery while ensuring functionality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and 3D CAD software.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and machinery.
• Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Use CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
• Select suitable materials, bearings, shafts, gears, fasteners, motors, and other mechanical components.
• Perform basic design calculations related to strength, load, torque, power, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Develop designs considering manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, and cost.
• Coordinate with the Production, Purchase, Quality, and Sales teams.
• Identify design problems and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Modify existing designs based on production requirements and customer feedback.
• Prepare and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) and engineering documentation.
• Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure designs meet required quality and safety standards.
• Continuously improve existing machines for better performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
• Good understanding of machine design and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in 3D CAD modelling and 2D drafting.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, fits, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes such as fabrication, machining, welding, casting, and sheet metal.
• Ability to understand and prepare technical drawings.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Software SkillsMust Have:

• SolidWorks / AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.

QualificationB.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Experience2–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, machine design, automation equipment, industrial machinery, or manufacturing.

Freshers with strong CAD skills and practical mechanical design knowledge may also be considered.

Preferred CandidateCandidates with experience in industrial machinery, automation, machine manufacturing, fabrication, or production equipment will be preferred.
