Job SummaryThe OP Billing Executive is responsible for accurate and timely outpatient billing, payment collection, and patient account management. The role ensures that all consultations, diagnostics, pharmacy, and other outpatient services are billed correctly while providing excellent customer service and maintaining compliance with hospital billing policies.

• Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate accurate outpatient (OP) bills for consultations, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other hospital services.
• Verify patient registration details, insurance eligibility, and billing information before invoice generation.
• Collect payments through cash, card, UPI, and other approved payment modes, and issue receipts.
• Handle insurance, TPA, corporate, and self-pay billing as per hospital policies.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, laboratory, pharmacy, and other departments to ensure accurate charge capture.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and patient billing enquiries promptly.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and prepare collection reports.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintain billing records for audit purposes.
• Process refunds, cancellations, and billing adjustments with appropriate approvals.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support month-end billing activities and management reporting.
• QualificationsBachelor's degree or Diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in outpatient (OP) billing in a hospital or healthcare facility.
• Working knowledge of Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Skills RequiredGood understanding of hospital billing processes.
