CCTV Technician

Job SummaryThe CCTV Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CCTV surveillance systems, access control systems, and related security equipment. The role ensures continuous operation of security systems, supports incident investigations by retrieving surveillance footage, and maintains compliance with company security standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, test, and commission CCTV cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), monitors, and related equipment.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CCTV systems to ensure uninterrupted operation.
• Diagnose and resolve faults related to cameras, recording devices, power supplies, cabling, and network connectivity
• Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they affect operations.
• Retrieve, back up, and provide CCTV footage for authorized investigations and audits while maintaining confidentiality.
• Install and maintain structured cabling, including CAT6, fiber optic (where applicable), and power cables.
• Configure IP cameras, network switches, and remote viewing applications.
• Maintain and troubleshoot access control systems, biometric devices, and video intercom systems, where applicable.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for warranty support and major repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, service reports, and system configurations.
• Ensure all work complies with company policies, security procedures, and applicable electrical and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and critical security system failures.
• Support office expansion, renovation, or relocation projects involving security systems.
