Ambulance Driver

Safely operate the ambulance for emergency and scheduled patient transportation.

Respond promptly to emergency dispatch calls and reach the designated location within the stipulated time.

Assist in safely loading and unloading patients, including stretcher and wheelchair transfers, when required.

Support paramedics, nurses, or medical attendants during patient transport.

Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the journey.

Follow traffic rules while using emergency sirens and lights in accordance with applicable regulations.

Perform daily vehicle inspections, including brakes, tyres, lights, engine oil, coolant, battery, oxygen cylinders, and emergency equipment.

Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of the ambulance interior and exterior.

Ensure the ambulance is adequately stocked with essential medical supplies and report shortages.

Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, and patient transportation logs.

Report vehicle defects, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately to the Transport Supervisor.

Coordinate effectively with the dispatch team, hospital staff, and emergency responders.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, road safety regulations, infection control protocols, and patient confidentiality requirements.

Refuel the ambulance as needed and ensure it is always ready for emergency deployment.

Handle patients and their attendants courteously and professionally.
