About

the Role

You'll run the assembly floor for our APCD, RECD and CAPS units — turning fabricated parts, bought-out components and sub-assemblies into finished, quality-checked devices ready for dispatch. You will report to the Production Manager / Operations Manager, and be the person the assembly team looks to for what's next, what's wrong, and what's blocking them.

What

You'll Do

•   Plan and run the daily assembly schedule against the dispatch plan — sequence jobs, assign workstations, and keep the line moving.

•   Read engineering drawings and BOMs, and make sure the right parts, gaskets, fasteners and sub-assemblies are staged before each job starts.

•   Supervise fitting, torquing, wiring/piping hook-up and final assembly of APCD/RECD/CAPS units, checking work against drawing tolerances and torque specs.

•   Run in-process and final quality checks — fit, alignment, leak/pressure checks, visual finish — and hold or reject anything that doesn't meet spec.

•   Coordinate with the Fabrication Supervisor and Stores to flag shortages, damaged parts, or fit-up issues before they stall the line.

•   Maintain daily assembly and dispatch-readiness MIS Reports — units completed, units pending, rework, and reasons for delay.

•   Train and supervise assembly-line workers on safe practices, correct torque/fit procedures, and housekeeping (5S) on the floor.

Must

Have

•   ITI or Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience).

•   3+ years supervising a mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly line, ideally in industrial equipment or product company,

•   Strong manpower handling, and be available to work extended hours as production volumes increase

•   Comfortable reading engineering/GA drawings and BOMs.

•   Hands-on working knowledge of industrial tools - torque wrench, pneumatic impact wrench, spanner & Allen key sets, crimping tool, vernier caliper, feeler gauge, etc.

•   Basic to intermediate Excel — data entry, simple trackers, daily MIS.

•   Conversational Hindi or Marathi for floor supervision.

•   Strong follow-up discipline — you chase open items until they're closed, not just logged.

•   Comfortable standing/moving on a factory floor for full shifts.
