JD For Senior Project Engineer

Senior Engineer – Civil with 4+ years of experience -is responsible for end‑to‑end supervision and managing villa construction works, ensuring execution as per approved drawings, quality standards, timelines, and budget. The role involves close coordination with architects, structural consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients to deliver premium residential villas with high workmanship.

Roles and Responsibilities :

1. Resource Planning – Labour and Material

• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly labour requirements based on project schedule and site progress.

·      Support planning team with data for updating schedules, look‑ahead plans, and recovery programs.

• Estimate material requirements as per drawings, BOQ, and execution plan.

·      Check reinforcement and bar bending schedules and finishing materials against BOQ and drawings.

• Monitor material indents, procurement status, delivery schedules, and stock availability at site.
• Optimize labour deployment to improve productivity and reduce idle time.
• Coordinate with stores and procurement teams to avoid material shortages and delays.
• Track consumption of major materials and ensure controlled usage with minimal wastage.

2. Execution :

·      Oversee day‑to‑day site activities for multiple villas, ensuring work is carried out as per drawings, specifications, and approved quality standards.

·      Check line, level, and plumb, and monitor work such as excavation, footing, columns, slabs, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, and finishes.

·      Allocate work to supervisors and labour teams, monitor productivity, and ensure adherence to safety norms and housekeeping at site.

• Ensure timely completion of work packages such as excavation, PCC, footing, RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, finishing, and related works.

·      Ensure completion of snagging, finishing touch‑ups, and rectification works prior to handing over villas.

• Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and labour teams for daily work progress.
• Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to project schedule and milestone targets.
• Resolve site-related issues quickly to avoid delays in execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper work sequencing and coordination between trades.

3. Quality :

• Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards, approved drawings, and project specifications.
• Conduct quality checks at each stage of execution and maintain site inspection records.
• Verify contractor bills, measurement records, and supporting documents for work executed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and site quality procedures.

4. Documentation :

·      Maintain complete site records, including drawing registers, pour cards, cube test reports, checklists, and inspection reports.

. Maintain proper documentation such as DPR, quality reports, material inward records, checklists, and progress reports.

·      Maintain material inward records, test records, and site inspection documentation systematically.

·      Keep photographic records of key construction stages and completed activities for reference and reporting.

·      Ensure all documentation is properly filed and updated for audit, review, and project tracking purposes.

. Support internal and external audits with complete and accurate documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of villa construction methods and execution practices.
• Good understanding of resource planning and site coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and BOQ.
• Experience in quality control, site documentation, and progress monitoring.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and project reporting tools.
