Job Description

An ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) or GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) nurse provides direct patient care, assists doctors, promotes health, and ensures patients receive safe and compassionate treatment in hospitals, clinics, community health centers, and primary health facilities


Key Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patients' health conditions.

Record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration).

Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.

Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.

Provide wound dressing, catheter care, and other nursing procedures.

Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.

Educate patients and families about medications, nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.

Ensure infection prevention and control practices are followed.
