About the RoleAt Mangalam Projects, we are transitioning from a trusted regional player to a high-volume developer with a 4.5 million sq. ft. pipeline. We are looking for a seasoned Head of Accounts to lead our financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining fiscal discipline, ensuring 100% statutory compliance, and providing the management with the data-driven insights needed to scale our footprint across East Bengaluru.
- What you’ll doFinancial Leadership: Oversee the entire accounting function, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Cash Flow management across multiple project entities.
- Taxation & Compliance: Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, and Income Tax. You will be the point of contact for external auditors and statutory authorities.
- RERA Management: Manage project-specific RERA bank accounts, ensuring the 70/30 fund allocation rules are strictly followed and certificates are filed accurately.
- Project Costing: Work closely with the technical/construction teams to monitor project budgets vs. actual spends, highlighting variances before they impact the bottom line.
- Receivables Oversight: Collaborate with the Sales and CRM teams to track collection milestones and manage aging reports for 1,500+ upcoming units.
- Audit & Reporting: Prepare monthly MIS reports, P&L statements, and Balance Sheets. Conduct internal audits to prevent leakages in procurement and site expenses.
- Banking Relations: Manage relationships with banks for project funding, limits, and timely interest servicing.
- What you needQualification: CA (Chartered Accountant) or ICWA is highly preferred. M.Com/MBA-Finance with exceptional experience will be considered.
- Industry Expertise: A deep understanding of Real Estate Revenue Recognition (Ind AS) and the nuances of the Bengaluru real estate market.
- Tech Savvy: Advanced proficiency in Tally Prime, ERP systems (like Farvision or Strategic), and MS Excel.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Expert-level command over GST (specifically for Works Contracts) and RERA regulations.
- Leadership: Proven experience in managing a team of accountants and working directly with senior management to drive financial strategy.
