Account Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to handle day-to-day accounting activities, billing, payments, reconciliations, and financial records. The candidate should have good knowledge of accounting principles and preferably experience in the logistics/transportation industry.

Key Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day accounting entries and maintain accurate books of accounts.

Prepare and issue customer invoices and ensure timely billing.

Verify purchase bills, expense bills, and supporting documents.

Maintain Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).

Follow up with customers for outstanding payments and maintain ageing reports.

Process vendor payments and maintain vendor accounts.

Perform bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations.

Record receipts, payments, journal entries, and other accounting transactions.

Prepare GST-related data and coordinate for timely GST filing.

Assist with TDS, GST, and other statutory compliance requirements.

Maintain proper documentation of invoices, bills, receipts, and payment records.

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly accounting reports as required by management.

Coordinate with operations and other departments for billing and documentation.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.

Support auditors and provide required documents and information.

Ensure accounting records are accurate and up to date.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Working knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime or relevant accounting software.

Good knowledge of MS Excel.

Basic knowledge of GST and TDS.

Good numerical and analytical skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Good communication and follow-up skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Qualification

B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification preferred.

Experience

1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting. Experience in logistics, transportation, freight, or service companies will be an advantage.
