Job Title: Educational Counsellor / Academic Counsellor

Job Overview

Sopia Online Degree College is seeking an empathetic and target-driven Educational Counsellor to join our team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will provide comprehensive career and academic guidance to prospective students and working professionals, assisting them in selecting suitable government-recognized distance learning programs from leading approved universities across India

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct free career counselling sessions via telephone, emails, and face-to-face interactions to understand candidate requirements.
• Evaluate students' educational backgrounds, career goals, time availability, and budgets to recommend the best-fit programs.
• Manage inbound and outbound leads, addressing student queries regarding courses, fees, accreditations, and timelines.
• Guide students through the complete enrollment cycle, managing documentation, eligibility checks, and fee payment coordination.
• Maintain accurate student interaction records and updates within the internal CRM tool.
• Meet or exceed monthly admission and conversion targets set by the organization.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Educational Level: Minimum 12th pass, though a graduation degree is highly preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in inside sales, customer relationship management, or education counselling is an asset, but enthusiastic freshers are welcome to apply
• Communication Skills: Fluent communication in English and local languages to properly address candidate needs.
• Competencies: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and convincing skills with a passion for helping students resolve their educational challenges

Required Skills

• Good interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Customer-focused approach with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience using CRM software is an added advantage.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Experience

• 0–2 years: Freshers with excellent communication skills may apply.
• 2–5 years: Experience in educational counselling, admissions, tele-counselling, sales, or customer relationship management will be preferred.

Working Hours

•  Working from Monday to Saturday 10:00AM to 06:30 PM
• Leaves are scheduled as per company policy.
