Job Description
An *LIC Advisor* is a self-employed insurance agent who represents Life Insurance Corporation of India. You’re not a salaried employee – you run your own small business under LIC’s brand.
Core Responsibilities
1. *Sales & Prospecting*
- Meet potential customers, understand their financial goals, and recommend suitable LIC policies – life, health, pension, child plans, etc.
- Generate leads from your network, referrals, and local community.
2. *Advisory & Service*
- Explain policy features, benefits, premium, and tax advantages in simple terms.
- Help clients with proposal forms, KYC, medical requirements.
- Provide after-sales service: premium reminders, policy updates, nomination changes, claim guidance.
3. *Business Building*
- Maintain and grow your client base for renewal income.
- Achieve targets to qualify for bonuses, MDRT, and club memberships.
Requirements to Become an LIC Advisor
- *Age*: 18+ years
- *Education*: Min 10th pass. Graduates get faster growth to Development Officer role.
- *License*: Must pass the IRDAI exam. LIC provides free training for this.
- *Skills*: Good communication, trust-building, basic financial literacy. No prior sales experience needed.
