Strategic Negotiator, Google Global Networking

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience negotiating and structuring agreements or leading business development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Market knowledge, including vendors, infrastructure, prices, and trends.
• Comprehensive knowledge of telecom domain, and good understanding of telecom terrestrial and subsea networks.
• Commercial negotiation, complexity, and scope, including relationship management, aptitude, and influencing skills.
• Contract formation, general legal knowledge, investigative skills, regulatory experience, and aptitude.

As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Google Global Networking (GNA) is responsible for planning, design, sourcing and delivery of the global network infrastructure that connects every Google application and Google Cloud product to our users and customers globally. In this role, you will ensure timely, quality and cost effective delivery of scalable network connecting existing and upcoming DCs across India and rest of world.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal business and cross-functional teams to identify and define tactical and strategic initiatives necessary to meet Google's network infrastructure needs for expansion, resilience and cost optimization across India.
• Ensure unit cost delivery for Google network infrastructure aligned to near build cost economics.
• Drive special projects and leadership priorities that cut across region, functions and time horizon , including strategy articulation, execution, tracking and closer.
• Develop and execute innovative solutions to complex infrastructure problems.
• Manage multiple vendors or suppliers. Keep key stakeholders informed on issues and resolution.
