Job Description

The BIM Architect will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models (BIM) for mission-critical Data Center projects from Concept Design through IFC and Construction Support.

The role requires strong expertise in Autodesk Revit, BIM workflows, multidisciplinary coordination, clash detection, and production of construction-ready documentation. The BIM Architect will work closely with Architects, Structural Engineers, Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, ELV, ICT, and BIM teams to ensure accurate, coordinated, and constructible designs.

Experience on Hyperscale Data Centers such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, Meta, Nxtra, Yondr, AirTrunk, Digital Realty, Equinix, or similar projects will be highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

1. BIM Modelling & Digital Delivery (CORE RESPONSIBILITY)

• Develop and manage Architectural BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Create coordinated LOD 200–400 models.
• Produce construction documentation directly from BIM models.
• Develop parametric Revit families.
• Maintain BIM standards and model quality.
• Ensure BIM models remain coordinated throughout project development.

2. Architectural BIM Development

Develop BIM models for:

• Data Halls
• White Space
• MEP Plant Rooms
• Electrical Rooms
• UPS Rooms
• Battery Rooms
• BMS Rooms
• Security Areas
• Office Areas
• Loading Bays
• External Works
• Ancillary Buildings

Prepare:

• Floor Plans
• Sections
• Elevations
• Enlarged Details
• Schedules
• Door Schedules
• Room Data Sheets

3. Multidisciplinary Coordination (CRITICAL)

Coordinate Architectural models with:

• Structural
• Mechanical (HVAC)
• Electrical
• Fire Protection
• Plumbing
• ELV
• ICT
• Security Systems

Responsibilities include:

• Clash Detection
• Clash Resolution
• Model Reviews
• Coordination Meetings
• BIM Issue Tracking

Use:

• Navisworks
• BIM Collaborate Pro
• ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) – preferred

4. Data Center Planning (Preferred)

Support architectural planning of:

• Data Hall layouts
• Hot / Cold Aisle Planning
• Equipment Clearances
• Raised Floor Systems
• Service Corridors
• MEP Zones
• Utility Buildings
• Generator Yards
• Substation Buildings
• Security Buildings

Basic understanding of:

• Hyperscale Campus Planning
• Redundancy Concepts (N+1, 2N)
• Critical Infrastructure Layouts

5. Documentation

Prepare:

• IFC Drawings
• Construction Drawings
• GA Drawings
• BIM Sheets
• Drawing Packages
• BIM Execution Documentation
• Quantity Schedules
• Room Schedules

Maintain:

• Drawing Registers
• Model Versions
• Revision Control
• Naming Conventions

6. Construction Support

Support project execution by:

• Reviewing Shop Drawings
• Responding to RFIs
• Updating BIM Models
• Preparing As-Built Models
• Coordinating with Site Teams

7. Quality Assurance

Ensure:

• Model Accuracy
• Drawing Quality
• LOD Compliance
• BIM Standards Compliance
• Client BIM Requirements
• Coordination Quality

Participate in:

• Internal Reviews
• QA/QC Checks
• Model Audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)
• Diploma in Architecture with exceptional BIM experience may also be considered
• Autodesk Certified Professional (Preferred)

Preferred Certifications

• Autodesk Certified Professional – Revit for Architecture
• Autodesk BIM Professional Certification
• Navisworks Certification
• BIM ISO 19650 Awareness (Preferred)

Experience

• 5–10 years in Architectural BIM Modeling
• Minimum 3 years using Revit full-time
• Minimum 2 years of Data Center / Mission Critical / Industrial Projects

Communication Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication – is a must.
• Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams
• Participate effectively in BIM coordination meetings
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under tight project schedules
