Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, coach, and evaluate sales representatives.
- Goal Setting: Establish individual and team sales quotas, revenue targets, and performance benchmarks.
- Strategy Development: Create action plans, marketing collaborations, and pricing or promotional campaigns.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze sales statistics, CRM data, and market trends to forecast future revenue.
- Client Relationships: Manage key accounts, negotiate major contracts, and resolve escalated customer issues.
- Reporting: Present sales, revenue, and expense forecasts to senior management. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (an MBA is often preferred).
- Experience: Generally 3 to 5+ years of direct sales experience, with at least 1 to 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software, data analytics, and sales reporting tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
