Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations & Production Planning Execute daily production schedules provided by the Planning department to achieve shift targets on time.
• Oversee processes across Sheet Metal Processing, Heavy Fabrication, and Heavy Machining (e.g., CNC/VMC, heavy turning, plasma/laser cutting, press brake bending, structural welding).
• Allocate machines, manpower, and material efficiently to minimize line stoppage and idle time.
• Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and maintain daily production logs (DPR).
• 2. Process Control & Quality Assurance Ensure all fabrication (fit-up, welding) and machining operations adhere strictly to Engineering Drawings, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate closely with Quality Control (QC) for first-article inspection (FAI), in-process inspections, and final clearance.
• Implement scrap control measures and drive root-cause analysis for non-conformances (NCRs) to minimize rework and wastage.
• 3. Manpower Leadership & Shop-Floor Management, Lead, direct, and motivate a team of technicians, welders, fitters, and machine operators across shifts.
• Manage shift attendance, skill matrix, and daily task assignments.
• Foster high discipline, punctuality, and productivity on the shop floor.
• 4. Machine Maintenance & Safety (EHS)Coordinate with the Maintenance team for regular Preventive Maintenance (PM) and immediate breakdown resolution.
• Strictly enforce 5S methodology, shop-floor cleanliness, and material handling practices.
• Enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and conduct regular safety tool-box talks before shifts.

Required Candidate Profile:

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of relevant shop-floor experience in Heavy Fabrication, Heavy Machining, or Sheet Metal manufacturing industries.
• Technical Skills:

• Strong ability to read and interpret complex 2D/3D Engineering Drawings, GD&T symbols, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• In-depth knowledge of welding processes (MIG/TIG/SAW), press brakes, heavy machining (CNC/VMC/boring/lathes), and sheet metal forming.
• Familiarity with material grades (e.g., MS, SS, High Tensile Steels) and plate thicknesses typical of heavy engineering.
• Core Competencies:
• Strong leadership, communication, and manpower handling skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with basic knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, and Lean manufacturing concepts.
• Basic proficiency in computer tools (MS Office / ERP software).
