Job Description
We are looking for a Civil Engineer / Diploma Civil Engineer having strong practical field experience in industrial and plant civil works.
The candidate should be capable of independently understanding civil drawings and supervising day-to-day civil construction activities at project sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Study and understand civil, structural and foundation drawings.
- Understand flooring plans, foundation drawings, RCC details and shuttering/formwork drawings.
- Supervise excavation, PCC, reinforcement, shuttering and RCC works.
- Check reinforcement as per drawing, including bar diameter, spacing, lap length and cover.
- Check shuttering dimensions, line, level, alignment and elevation before concreting.
- Supervise concrete pouring, vibration, curing and finishing works.
- Carry out site measurements and prepare quantity statements.
- Prepare/verify BOQ and RA bill measurements.
- Coordinate with civil contractors, supervisors, vendors and client engineers.
- Monitor manpower, material and daily site progress.
- Prepare daily progress reports and maintain site documentation.
- Identify discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings and coordinate with the concerned engineer/client for clarification.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications and safety requirements.
