Accountant – Manufacturing & Export

Location: Office based

Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Working Days: 6 days per week

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Accountant who can independently manage the complete accounting function of a growing manufacturing and export-oriented company. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing statutory compliance, handling export documentation, and supporting management with financial analysis and reporting.

The role requires the ability to manage the entire accounting cycle with minimal supervision, from recording transactions to assisting in finalization of accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounting

• Maintain complete books of accounts in accounting software such as Tally
• Record all financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, payments, and receipts.
• Maintain general ledger, bank ledger, vendor ledger, and customer ledger.
• Ensure accurate accounting entries and proper classification of expenses and revenues.

GST & Statutory Compliance

• Preparation and filing of GST returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
• Maintain GST purchase and sales reconciliation.
• Ensure correct HSN classification and GST compliance.
• Coordinate with consultants or CA for GST notices, audits, or clarifications.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Manage vendor payment schedules and track payables.
• Track outstanding receivables and follow up for collections.
• Maintain vendor reconciliation and customer account reconciliation.

Export Documentation & Procedures

• Prepare pro forma invoices for export orders.
• Create commercial invoices, export invoices, and packing lists.
• Handle export documentation required for shipments.
• Track export payments and maintain documentation including BRC (Bank Realization Certificate).
• Maintain export records required for bank and regulatory compliance.

Bank & Cash Management

• Prepare bank reconciliation statements (BRS) regularly.
• Maintain cash book and monitor all bank transactions.
• Track inward and outward payments.

Inventory & Cost Tracking

• Maintain accounting entries for inventory purchases and stock movements.
• Coordinate with operations team for stock reconciliation.
• Track cost of goods sold and assist in product cost analysis.

TDS & Compliance

• Deduct and file TDS returns where applicable.
• Maintain records of statutory deductions and payments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial and tax regulations.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare periodic financial reports including Profit & Loss statement and Balance Sheet.
• Provide monthly financial summaries to management.
• Assist management in understanding financial performance and cost structures.

Audit & Documentation

• Maintain proper financial documentation and supporting records.
• Assist in statutory audits and internal reviews.
• Prepare documents required by CA, banks, and auditors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com or equivalent).
• 5–6 years experience in accounting in manufacturing, trading, or export companies.
• Strong understanding of GST compliance and accounting principles.
• Knowledge of export documentation and export payment procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
