Job Description

Tea Packing Work

  • Weigh tea accurately on the weighing scale as per packet size (e.g., 100 g, 250 g, 500 g, 1 kg)
  • Fill tea into pouches/packets without spilling or wasting
  • Seal packets properly using the sealing machine, with no tea stuck in the seal and no holes or leaks
  • Check each packet for correct weight, proper sealing and damage
  • Stick labels and print or check batch number, packing date, MRP and expiry
  • Pack packets into cartons, count them, and seal the cartons
  • Stack cartons neatly for dispatch and help with loading/unloading
  • Keep a daily count of packets packed and report to the supervisor
  • Inform the supervisor about low stock of pouches, labels, cartons or tape

Cleanliness & Hygiene

  • Sweep and mop the godown and packing area floor daily
  • Clean weighing scales, sealing machine, scoops and tables before and after work
  • Collect spilled tea and waste material, and dispose of it properly
  • Keep tea bags/bulk stock covered and away from moisture, dust and strong smells
  • Keep racks, shelves and stored goods dust-free
  • Check for pests, dampness or leakage and report immediately
  • Wash hands before packing; wear cap/gloves/apron if provided
