System Administrator

We are seeking a reliable Desk Support Administrator for a strictly desk-based role. In this position, your primary focus will be to monitor the office internet connection to ensure zero downtime and swap out computer systems/hardware whenever a breakdown occurs. This role does not involve administrative paperwork or client-facing duties; it is focused entirely on keeping our desk operations online and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Internet Monitoring: Keep a continuous watch on the office network connectivity and internet speeds to ensure a stable connection.
• Hardware Replacement: Quickly swap out faulty desktop units, monitors, keyboards, mice, or cables with backup equipment to minimize staff downtime.
• Basic Troubleshooting: Restart routers, modems, and local systems if connection drops occur.
• Hardware Inventory: Maintain a small, organized desk stock of spare computer systems and peripherals ready for immediate replacement.
• Issue Escalation: Log any major network outages or unfixable hardware issues and report them to the external IT provider or supervisor.
