The senior telecaller will be responsible for driving sales and generating revenue by managing both inbound and outbound customer calls. The ideal candidate has exceptional communication and persuasive skills, a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, and the ability to mentor junior telecallers. 

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls to potential customers to promote products and services, acting as the final point of contact for complex issues.
  • Handle inbound inquiries professionally, addressing customer issues and providing detailed product information.
  • Maintain and update customer records and call logs in the CRM system.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and team sales and performance targets.
  • Provide accurate product and service information and suggest solutions based on customer needs.
  • Train and mentor junior telecallers, sharing best practices and assisting with complex queries.
  • Provide regular feedback on customer trends, issues, and successful sales methods to management.
  • Develop growth strategies and plans based on market and customer feedback. 

Required skills and qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience (typically 2–5 years) as a telecaller or in a similar sales or customer service role.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and a confident, polite phone etiquette.
  • Sales aptitude: Strong persuasive and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in CRM software and basic computer applications like MS Excel.
  • Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and objections professionally.
  • Problem-solving: Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Leadership (optional but preferred): Experience in team handling, training, and coordination. 

Educational background

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A degree or professional certification in sales, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
