Field Service Engineer

DM Laptop Solutions is seeking a skilled, motivated, and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to provide doorstep technical support, repair, and troubleshooting services for laptops and desktop computers across the city.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit customer locations, including homes and offices, to diagnose and resolve laptop and desktop hardware and software issues.
• Perform hardware upgrades and component replacements, including SSD, RAM, display screens, keyboards, batteries, and hinges.
• Carry out Operating System installation, software configuration, driver installation, and system updates.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware-related issues, including basic motherboard-level problems.
• Identify issues requiring advanced technical support and coordinate the transfer of devices to the central service center when necessary.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with customers while providing clear information regarding service requirements and status.
• Maintain accurate service records and provide timely job reports and status updates.
• Follow company service procedures and ensure customer devices are handled responsibly and professionally.

Requirements:

• Two-Wheeler: Must own a bike or scooter and possess a valid driving license.
• Technical Skills: Good knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware, hardware assembly, Operating System installation, troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and basic software configuration.
• Communication: Good basic communication skills in English and/or the local language.
• Customer Service: Professional attitude, punctuality, willingness to travel, and ability to interact effectively with customers.
• Experience: Prior experience in laptop/desktop servicing is preferred; suitable freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.
