Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth, manage distribution networks, and lead sales operations within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in FMCG sales, distributor management, market expansion, and team handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
• Manage and grow the distributor/dealer network across the assigned territory.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers.
• Ensure effective product distribution and availability across the market.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer preferences.
• Conduct regular market visits to assess sales performance and market potential.
• Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and territory targets.
• Set sales targets for the team and monitor performance regularly.
• Ensure proper implementation of company schemes, promotions, and trade offers.
• Track primary and secondary sales and take corrective actions wherever required.
• Manage distributor stocks, orders, collections, and outstanding payments.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and provide updates to management.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing for smooth operations.
• Ensure strong execution of company sales and distribution plans in the assigned area.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in a similar Area Sales Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of distribution, dealer/distributor management, and retail sales.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Experience in team handling and market expansion.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• Good knowledge of the local market and retail network will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting tools is preferred.
• Languages: English, Hindi & Telugu preferred.
