Senior Accountant (HOD)

Job Summary: We are seeking a stable, detail-oriented, and highly accurate Senior Accountant ('The Precisionist') to independently manage factory and corporate accounts for our solder metal manufacturing unit in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad. Operating at the core of factory operations, procurement, stores, and management, the role assumes absolute ownership of day-to-day books, manufacturing inventory tracking, weekly/monthly closures, and statutory tax compliance. The primary business outcome is 100% financial reporting accuracy, monthly books closed within 5 days, zero-penalty tax compliance, and true financial clarity to drive sound operational and management decisions.

Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Bookkeeping & Voucher Entry: Perform complete day-to-day plant accounting and voucher entry in Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9, including purchase, sales, cash/bank receipt, cash/bank payment, and journal vouchers.

• Manufacturing Inventory Control & Costing: Take complete ownership of raw metal, Work-in-Progress (WIP), finished goods, and scrap registers; conduct physical stock audits, track Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and perform inventory valuation across factory floors.
• Statutory Taxation & Tax Compliance: Independently handle monthly GST filings (GSTR-1, 3B), match data with GSTR-2B, conduct annual GST reconciliations (GSTR-9/9C), generate E-Invoices and E-Way bills, process TDS/TCS deductions/deposits, and oversee PF, ESI, and Professional Tax (PT) calculations.
• Financial Finalisation & Audit Coordination: Independently prepare Trial Balances, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and Balance Sheets for management review; ensure weekly ledger closures and close monthly books within 5 days while coordinating schedules for internal and external CA/CS statutory audits.
• Banking Operations & Working Capital Management: Manage multi-bank ledger reconciliations (BRS), payment registers, RTGS/NEFT particulars, and maintain banking relationships for Cash Credit (CC) limits, Bank Guarantees (BG), and Letters of Credit (LC).
• Daily Dispatch Documentation & Logistics Coordination: Generate 10–15 commercial tax invoices, E-Way bills, delivery challans, packing lists, and test certificates daily with zero errors in vehicle numbers or tax rates; actively coordinate with porters, drivers, procurement, stores, and logistics teams.
• Commercial Correspondence & SOP Documentation: Draft formal commercial emails to banks, insurance providers, vendors, and clients regarding stock statements, purchases, and payments; travel to banks and tax offices (GST, Excise, ST, CA/CS) as needed, and document step-by-step procedures/SOPs for all accounting tasks.
• Skills Required: Software & IT Mastery: Expert proficiency in Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9, Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation), and MS Word.
• Statutory Compliance & Banking Expertise: In-depth knowledge of GST laws, E-Invoicing, E-Way Bills, TDS/TCS, PF/ESI/PT, Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), and working capital banking operations (CC, BG, LC, RTGS).
• Manufacturing & Cost Accounting: Hands-on grasp of inventory control (raw materials, WIP, finished goods, scrap), COGS tracking, product-based engineering, manufacturing accounting, and commercial dispatch documentation.
• Precision & Commercial Communication: Methodical precision ('The Precisionist'), strong analytical capabilities, formal commercial email drafting skills, and effective stakeholder management (banks, CA/CS, tax officials, internal teams).
• QualificationsMinimumBachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Master’s degree in Commerce (M.Com).
• Proven, hands-on software proficiency in Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9 and Advanced MS Excel.
• Sound understanding of core accounting principles, GST, TDS, and statutory tax regulations.
• Preferred Inter-CA or Inter-CMA qualification.
• Direct accounting experience in product-based engineering or metals manufacturing industries.
• Experience6 to 10 years of core accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant/factory environment (engineering or metals sector strongly preferred).
• Candidates residing within a 5 km comfortable commuting distance of Jeedimetla (e.g., Kukatpally, Quthbullapur, Balanagar, Kompally, Miyapur) will be strongly preferred for long-term stability.

• Salary: Competitive salary band commensurate with experience and qualifications (e.g., ₹3,60,000 – ₹4,80,000 PA / as per industry standards for manufacturing in Hyderabad) [Note: Exact range to be specified by Hiring Manager].
