Accountant

Role Overview

An Accountant manages, records, and analyzes a company’s financial transactions. Their primary goal is to ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and up-to-date reporting to help the business make smart financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Recording: Maintain accurate ledgers by recording daily transactions, accounts payable (money owed), and accounts receivable (money due).
• Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss statements) and reconcile bank statements.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file local, state, and federal taxes, ensuring adherence to financial laws and regulations.
• Payroll & Budgeting: Oversee payroll processing and assist management in creating annual budgets and cost-saving strategies.
• Auditing: Prepare documentation for internal or external financial audits.

Key Requirements

• Core Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP), and advanced Excel skills.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and data integrity.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications like CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA are highly preferred for senior roles.
