BKD brings food, personal care, household and other everyday-use products together under one roof, with an emphasis on original products, competitive prices, dependable availability and convenient local shopping.

BKD is strengthening its store systems, security standards, technology and operating controls as it expands. The CCTV Technician is expected to keep surveillance systems working properly, resolve technical issues quickly and support safe and smooth store operations.

ROLE PURPOSEThe CCTV Technician is responsible for installing, checking, repairing and maintaining CCTV cameras and related surveillance equipment. The role ensures cameras, DVR/NVR, wiring, storage and viewing systems work properly and faults are resolved on time.

• KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESCCTV InstallationInstall CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR, monitors, power supplies and related equipment correctly.
• Do proper camera positioning, wiring and basic configuration.
• CCTV Repair & TroubleshootingCheck cameras, cables, connectors, power supply and recording issues.
• Identify faults and repair or replace faulty parts as required.
• DVR / NVR & RecordingCheck recording, playback, storage/HDD and date/time settings.
• Ensure required cameras are recording properly and report storage problems.
• Monitoring & System CheckingRegularly check CCTV cameras and live/recorded views.
• Ensure cameras are clear, active and covering required store areas.
• Preventive MaintenanceCarry out regular CCTV cleaning, checking and preventive maintenance.
• Check loose connections, cables, power supply and camera condition.
• Networking & Remote ViewingHandle basic LAN/network connections used for CCTV systems.
• Support remote viewing setup and resolve basic connectivity issues.
• Documentation & Asset ControlMaintain records of CCTV faults, repairs, replacements and maintenance.
• Keep proper information of cameras, DVR/NVR and other CCTV equipment.
• Store Support & SafetyCoordinate with store teams for CCTV-related work without disturbing operations.
• Follow electrical, ladder, wiring and workplace safety practices and keep the work area clean.
• Systems, Excel & Data AccuracyUse accounting software/ERP, POS reports and MS Excel for accounting and reporting activities.
• Use Excel functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Pivot Tables and basic data analysis where required.
• Maintain confidentiality, data accuracy and timely records as per company process.

DECISION-MAKING / CONTROL RESPONSIBILITYWithin approved company processes, the CCTV Technician is responsible for routine CCTV installation, checking, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and system monitoring. The technician must identify faults, maintain equipment properly, protect system access and escalate major or repeated issues to the reporting manager.

KEY SKILLS & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGEPractical knowledge of CCTV installation and repair; DVR/NVR; IP and analog cameras; CCTV wiring and cable testing; basic networking; remote viewing; preventive maintenance; troubleshooting; power supply and storage/HDD checks; basic computer skills; documentation and fault diagnosis.

• SAFETY & CONTROL: Proper safety, access control and company procedures followed

CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation: 8th / 10th / 12th pass or ITI / relevant technical qualification preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in CCTV installation, repair and maintenance. Experience in retail stores, grocery stores, warehouses or multi-location businesses is preferred.

Technical Knowledge: Good practical knowledge of CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR, IP/analog systems, wiring, connectors, power supply, recording/storage, basic networking and remote viewing.

Communication: Good Hindi and basic functional English. Must communicate clearly with store teams, Admin/Facility and management.

Required Behaviours: Responsible, technically alert, disciplined, punctual, problem-solving, safety-conscious and willing to travel to assigned stores/locations.

• WORK REQUIREMENTSFull-time role with working hours as per company policy and assigned schedule.
• May require travel between BKD stores/assigned locations and additional hours during urgent breakdowns or business requirements.
• Must maintain confidentiality of CCTV footage, system access and company information.
• Must follow company safety rules, access controls, maintenance procedures and instructions.
